An Improvised-Explosive Device (IED) has been recuperated from a sack that was found in Delhi’s Old Seemapuri region Thursday evening. The National Security Guard (NSG), groups of Delhi Police Special Cell, Delhi Fire Services and bomb removal crew are at the spot.

The Delhi Police reinforced security nearby and blockaded roads after a call was gotten in the early evening about a “dubious looking pack”.

“We informed the NSG groups who then, at that point, came and got the pack. They have now affirmed the presence of an IED taken care of. They are choosing the spot to diffuse the unstable. The pack has been gotten and will be eliminated securely,” said an official from the Special Cell.
Sources said the pack was kept in an empty house. Police said they are checking subtleties.
Last month, an IED was found in Delhi’s Ghazipur bloom market. The security groups came to on schedule and detonated the bomb in a pit close to Ghazipur. No losses were accounted for.
