A Dubai-bound traveler supposedly with Saudi Riyals worth ₹23 lakh was captured at the Delhi air terminal, said Customs authorities on Thursday. In a different occurrence that very day, a gun and two void magazine were supposedly seized from a traveler who showed up at the Delhi air terminal from Dubai.
In the primary case, Customs authorities said the traveler was blocked by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) and the traditions office at Terminal-3 in view of a hint. The cash was found put away in exceptionally made holes in the traveler’s registration things. “The recuperated unfamiliar money is comparable to ₹23.10 lakh Indian rupees. The traveler has been put under area 104 of the traditions act and is being addressed further,” the authority said.
In the subsequent case, the 32-year-old traveler was caught by a Customs official in view of doubt. The weapon was found during a pursuit of his hand stuff, said authorities.
He was captured under area 104 of the Customs Act and under the Arms Act, 1959.
