A cop was harmed when aggressors terminated at him while he was getting back from a mosque in Shopian locale of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
In most recent multi week, this is the third assault on police officers in the Valley and second in south Kashmir.
According to the police, the official has been hospitalized and a chase sent off to follow the aggressors.
“#Terrorists terminated upon ASI (associate sub-overseer) Shabir Ahmad while he was returning from mosque after supplications in his local spot Amishijipora area of #Shopian,” the Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet.
Ahmad is going through treatment at a medical clinic in Srinagar, where his condition is supposed to be steady, police said.
The region, where the occurrence occurred, has been cordoned off by security powers to seize the aggressors, they said, adding a case has been enlisted and examination began.
On Saturday, assailants had killed 53-year-old cop, Ali Mohammad Ganie, in south Kashmir’s Hassanpora Bijbehara. A day sooner, another cop had gotten away safe in an assault in the Batmaloo area of Srinagar.
Last year, 20 police were killed in Kashmir either during experiences or designated killings. In January, security powers have killed 21 assailants, including eight Pakistani aggressors, in 11 experiences.
