A tiger was seen as dead, while a panther passed on while being protected in Madhya Pradesh’s Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, an authority said on Saturday.
The corpse of a tiger was found in the cushion area of Dhamokhar range on Friday and the panther passed on in the center area of Panpatha scope of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, the authority said.
The specific reason for death of the huge feline will be found out once the posthumous report shows up, the save’s field chief B S Annigeri said. The authorities had on Thursday night got data that a panther was caught in a fence in Panpatha range, he said.
Around then, the specialists were away in Nauradehi Sanctuary to accompany an elephant moved there, the authority said. The panther was sound, however it kicked the bucket while being delivered into the woods after the salvage, he said, adding that the creature may have passed on because of harm to the inside organs.
Following after death, the corpses of the two creatures were discarded according to the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) rules.
