An official said Sunday that at least 50 people, including women and children, fell ill with food poisoning in a village in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district after eating food served at a banquet.


Five of them are in serious condition and are being transferred here to Gajra Raja Medical College (GRMC) and hospital after receiving initial treatment at Morar Hospital in Gwalior district, he said.


The incident occurred on Saturday night in the town of Damora.
