The state government of Uttarakhand will reopen schools in the state. The students from classes 9 to 12 will start tomorrow on August 2, 2021. The classes from 6th to 8th will be joining the school from August 16.
According to sources, the state government has issued an official order in this regard. The notice indicated that the rules will apply to all boarding and day boring government and private institutions in the state. According to the information provided, schools have been instructed to sanitize their premises. The students are only allowed to enter the school premises after the thermal screening. The entry gates will provide students to sanitize their hands before entering.
Students are also not allowed to force other students to attend classes in offline mode. Schools are ready with online attendance and offline classes. However, the students attending school are required to bring their parents’ consent along with them.
However, online classes for students for classes 1 through 5 will continue to be online. Schools have also been asked to appoint nodal officers. They will ensure that students follow COVID guidelines and take action if they violate the norms.
Students, teachers, and other staff members must wear masks, maintain social distance, and sanitize their hands frequently. If someone develops COVID-19 symptoms, nodal officials must notify the district administration and health authorities in cooperation with school management and principals.
Teachers and staff members who live on campus must submit a negative RT-PCR test that is less than 48 hours old.
