After the board examinations were cancelled owing to the pandemic, the Supreme Court is hearing concerns from students and other stakeholders over the CBSE and ICSE Class 12 evaluation schemes today. Some of the provisions relating to the evaluation formula have been the subject of petitions.
The Supreme Court stated that the CBSE and CISCE assessment schemes were fair and reasonable, and that the court found no cause to interfere with them. As a result, the two primary boards’ assessment formulae are recognised.
On Tuesday, June 22, lawyers for the CBSE and ICSE answered questions before a special bench of Justices AM Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari.
The Supreme Court also considered a request to abolish the CBSE compartment examinations in 2021. According to a joint petition submitted by 1,152 pupils, CBSE should evaluate compartment students using the same evaluation system as normal students.
For compartment, private, and repeating students, the apex court ordered that the Class 12 board test will not be cancelled. They’ll show up for a physical test when the conditions are right, which will be between August 15 and September 15.

According to the 30:30:40 formula, the CBSE Class 12 board test results will be announced by July 31, and individuals who are dissatisfied with their results can apply online for a physical exam later, The marks obtained in that exam will be the final ones.
Only the key topics will be examined by the CBSE. If the situation permits, the examinations will be held between August 15 and September 15, 2021. The findings will be announced as soon as possible.
The tests for Private/ Patrachar/2nd chance compartment candidates will be conducted in accordance with the Assessment Policy for the Academic Year 2019-2020, which was authorised by the Supreme Court last year.
