According to authorities, a known criminal who was freed on bail last year has become a huge issue for the Delhi Police, with multiple murder investigations indicating his participation in these killings.
Shahrukh has been engaged in multiple killings, attempted murders, and a gang war since his release from prison last year, they stated.
Shahrukh Khan, a resident of South Delhi’s Ambedkar Nagar, was recently witnessed shooting in the air during what appeared to be a wedding ceremony. Shahrukh is seen firing three to four times in the air in the footage, endangering the lives of several people, including numerous children who are visible close him.
“Shahrukh has been identified as one of the accused in this murder. We have made a few arrests but he continues to be absconding. Our teams are raiding his possible hideouts to arrest him,” said a senior police officer on the condition of anonymity.
The officer went on to say that because both males had prior criminal records, it appeared that they were members of opposing factions. “Their ties to various gangsters are being investigated,” he continued.
Shahrukh committed another murder two weeks later. In a similar incident, two unidentified males opened fire on Farman, a 23-year-old male, in east Delhi’s Welcome neighbourhood, killing him instantly. Shahrukh is thought to be one of the two assailants.
The third murder occurred on May 25 in Jaffrabad, Delhi, when two gunmen shot and killed a businessman named Qasim Qureshi. While two guys have been charged with the murder, Shahrukh’s involvement has been revealed by the police inquiry.
Shahrukh, a permanent resident of Madangir, was previously a known criminal involved in small crimes such as stealing, snatching robberies, and unlawful possession of weaponry before mobster Shakti Naidu offered him asylum. After Naidu was slain in a police confrontation in Meerut in February 2020.
Many of his gang members either joined Baba’s rival organization, which has been imprisoned since November 2020 or were slain by police or rival gang members. One of the crooks that teamed up with Baba was Shahrukh..
He has been imprisoned for his role in two killings recorded in the Ambedkar Nagar and Farsh Bazar regions in 2014 and 2015 according to police records.
