With the second wave of coronavirus, India is seeing an increase in active COVID patients. Between May 7 and 13, the state of Karnataka recorded 3500 the highest number of COVID deaths since the pandemic began.
In the month of May, 5000 deaths were recorded in Karnataka. Bangalore is responsible for 2700 of the estimated number of deaths. During the first wave of the pandemic in August 2020, 3388 deaths were recorded in the province. For the month of May, the daily death level in Karnataka was about 400, with 211 deaths in Bangalore alone.
According to a story in Zee News, mortality figures have increased by 107 percent. There were 1448 deaths between April 24 and 30, 1689 deaths between May 1 and 6, and 3500 deaths between May 7 and 13. This number made it the state’s worst week of the pandemic so far.
According to data revised on Sunday by the Union Health Ministry, India saw the lowest increase in daily COVID-19 cases after a 25-day break, with 3.11 lakh new infections, while the death toll increased to 2,70,284 with 4,077 new fatalities.
960 people were killed in Maharashtra, 349 in Karnataka, 337 in Delhi, 303 in Tamil Nadu, 281 in Uttar Pradesh, 216 in Punjab, 197 in Uttarakhand, 149 in Rajasthan, 144 in Haryana and West Bengal, and 129 in Chhattisgarh.
So far, the country has recorded 2,70,284 deaths, with 80,512 in Maharashtra, 21,434 in Karnataka, 21244 in Delhi, 17,359 in Tamil Nadu, 17,238 in Uttar Pradesh, 13,137 in West Bengal, 11,693 in Punjab, and 11,590 in Chhattisgarh.
