The actress, who was recently permanently removed from Twitter for hate speech, dismissed the virus that has ravaged the world. “It’s nothing more than passing flu that got way too much attention,” Kangana Ranaut wrote on social media. Don’t grant the virus control over you, the actress said, a little tone-deafly.
Over 4,000 COVID deaths have been recorded in India in the last 24 hours, with over 4 lakh new infections, as the country battles a vicious second wave exacerbated by a lack of oxygen, hospital beds, and vaccinations.
Kangana Ranaut clarified in her post that she felt exhausted and frail and had to get herself checked to return to her hometown in Himachal Pradesh. “I had no idea this virus was having a party in my body, now that I do I’m going to kill it,” she said.
