New Delhi: On Saturday, in a well-publicized case of the National Herald, took a new turn again when BJP MP Subramanian Swamy handed over some documents to the trial court and claimed that the matter of scam is proved. These documents are being given a copy of the order of the income tax department in which the alleged fraud in the National Herald case has been mentioned. To the owner, the Income Tax Department has ordered the payment of around four and a half million rupees to the Young Indian Company, owned by Sonia-Rahul. It is known that Swami had tweeted the effect yesterday that when he got out to raise the newspaper in the morning, he got an anonymous envelope. In this envelope, the income tax department had a copy of the order. They handed over this copy to the court on Saturday. The court has asked to keep these documents in the sealed envelope and hear it on 17th March.
In the court, Swamy claimed that these documents prove that the conspiracy was hatched to capture the assets of the National Herald’s two thousand crore. According to him, the Congress leaders claiming to give 90 crores to Associated Journals, the proprietary company of National Herald through the Young Indian Company, is wrong. Keep in mind that Congress leaders Sonia, Rahul Motilal Vori etc. took responsibility on behalf of associates journals’ liability of 90 crores on February 26, 2011. The Young Indian Company was made from just Rs 5 lakhs. There is a 38-38 percent stake in Sonia and Rahul in this. The remaining 24 per cent is owned by Congress leader Motilal Vora and Oscar Fernandes.
After Swami raised this issue, whatever The congress party is internally, but the attitude of its leaders and within the Parliament is showing its problems. It was the result of Swami’s initiative that the Congress had to undertake to resume the National Herald. Swami claims that the Congress leaders are getting the rent of millions of rupees for the assets of the National Herald.
