Sanjay Dutt, a Bollywood celebrity, got the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine on Tuesday. The 61-year-old actor shared a photo of himself receiving the vaccine at Mumbai’s BKC vaccine center on Twitter.
“I got my first COVID-19 vaccine shot today at the BKC vaccine center. I’d like to congratulate Dr. Dhere and his whole staff on a job well done! I have a great deal of admiration and appreciation for them and their efforts. Salute to India!” Dutt sent out a tweet.
On October 21, he wrote in an Instagram post: “My family has had a particularly trying few weeks. But, as the saying goes, God sends his bravest warriors into the most difficult battles. And today, on the occasion of my children’s birthdays, I am glad to have won the war to be able to give them the greatest present I can: our family’s health and well-being.” He was being treated at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai.
The actor was diagnosed with cancer in August of last year, and he took a break from work to concentrate on his recovery.
Dutt revealed in October 2020 that he will be “out of this disease soon.” A month later, the actor returned to the set of his upcoming Kannada debut, KGF: Chapter 2.
