The divorce and custody battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has taken a different direction. According to foreign news sources, Jolie has accused her former husband Brad Pitt of domestic violence. According to Us Weekly and ETOnline, Ms. Jolie, 45, has lodged papers in court stating that she would have “evidence and credibility” to back up her assertion. The documents also state that the couple’s children have decided to testify against the 57-year-old actor’s alleged abuse. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie met while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004. They dated for three years before marrying in 2014; two years later, they divorced and have been fighting in court ever since.
According to Us Weekly and ETOnline, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s six children, the majority of whom are minors, could testify in court. Since he and Angelina Jolie divorced in 2016, the FBI investigated and cleared Brad Pitt of suspected child neglect. The ex-couple is said to be seeking shared custody of their children, Maddox (19), Pax (17), Zahara (16), Shiloh (14), and twins Knox and Vivienne (12).
Angelina Jolie’s latest allegations are being viewed as an effort to put Brad Pitt down – “This is yet another example of Angelina shifting the story when it serves her,” ET cited a source as saying, “Aside from the one allegation that she made in 2016 that was investigated and denied, there have never been any other documents, police investigations, or even accusations before now.”
Angelina described how her life has changed over the past few years. When asked if she is in a positive period of her life, she responded, “I’m not sure. The last few years have been difficult. I’ve been working hard to heal our family. It’s slowly returning, like ice melting and blood returning to my body. But I’m not present. I’m still not there. Still, I’m hoping to be. I expect to do so.”
“Over the last four and a half years, there have been a host of allegations made by Angelina that have been investigated and not substantiated,” a source close to Brad told the newspaper.
“Angelina has previously used the children to hurt Brad, and this is more of the same. They went on to say that the leakage of documents by her fourth or fifth set of lawyers was done to damage Brad.
