Panaji, Goa: Former chief minister of Goa died on Sunday, prompting the Centre to announce a national mourning even as tributes flowed in from across the political spectrum for the 63-year-old BJP leader.
The former defence minister and 4-time chief minister Manohar Parrikar passed away on Sunday evening (17 March) after battling from pancreatic cancer for a long time.
In mid afternoon on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Goa Governor Mridula Sinha meet family members of Manohar Parrikar, in Panaji.
PM Modi along with current Defense Minister paid last respects to the late Goan CM.
