According to the latest statistics from the Indian Medical Association (IMA), 646 Doctors have died as a result of Covid-19 in the ongoing second wave, with Delhi having the highest number of deaths at 109.
In the current IMA COVID register second wave state-by-state list of doctor martyrs, Bihar had 97 deaths, Uttar Pradesh had 79 deaths, and Rajasthan had 43 deaths. Doctors have died in Maharashtra and Karnataka, with Maharashtra reporting 23 and Karnataka reporting nine fatalities, respectively. According to the International Medical Association, 748 doctors died in the first wave of the epidemic.
