About 65 companies participated in the three-day mega job fair organied by the National Career Service and Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Department of Madhya Pradesh under the Model Career Center scheme of the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment.
The primary selection of 3 thousand 315 applicants was done in the fair and the final selection of 586 youths has been done.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will provide offer letters to selected applicants on Monday, May 29 at 11.30 am at divisional ITI Govindpura. Additional Chief Secretary, Technical Education and Skill Development, Manu Srivastava said that apart from Madhya Pradesh, companies from Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh are participating in the fair.
In this, a total of 7 thousand 566 vacancies have been notified by the employers. The prescribed qualification includes 10th, 12th, ITI Diploma, Graduation and other certificate courses.
For ITI pass applicants the posts include Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Machine Operator, Electrician, Diesel Mechanic, Computer Operator. For 10th, 12th and Graduation applicants, the posts include Client Care, Relationship Officer, Wellness Advisor, Mobile Technology, Technician, Retail Entrepreneur, IT Entrepreneur, Security Guard, HR Executive, Helper etc. The posts of Electrician, Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Science are available for Diploma holders.
Additional Chief Secretary informed that National Career Service Portal will be linked with Madhya Pradesh Employment Portal, so that local youth will be able to come in contact with national level employers.
The Digi Udaan portal has been developed by the Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development and Employment Generation Board in collaboration with Microsoft under the Sankalp Yojana.
Through this portal, the youth of the state will be provided free of cost training in digital literacy, financial literacy, employability and other online courses and certificates will be provided jointly by the government and Microsoft.
Shramik Choupal
Shramik Chaupal is also being organised along with the mega job fair. In this, registration will be done in various schemes and e-labour card, Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan, M.P. Building and Other Construction Employees Board and Madhya Pradesh Unorganised External/Rural Workers Board.
Registration of workers and distribution of benefits will also be done by organisations of the Union Ministry of Labour including EPFO, ESIC and Central Chief Labour Commissioner.
