Dehradun. The Minister of Milk Development, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that the government is giving Rs 52 thousand to the cattle buyers to buy a cow. A subsidy of 27 thousand rupees is being given for it.
He said that farmers will be able to avail this in the promotional Mela from the first to 7th June. He said that the cattle owners would be given mattresses to sit for the cow. The dairy development minister had a meeting with the cattle feeders and zonal dairy workers in the milk producing cooperative union of Shikarpur. He said that he got Rs. 20.60 crores for the development of cooperative by the Central Government for development of Rs. 2500 crores and milk producer cooperative. He said that Uttarakhand has 2800 committees of 11 milk producing cooperative societies. To increase milk production in the state, Rs 52 thousand is being given for buying a cow. It will have to give subsidy of 27 thousand rupees, loan of 20 thousand rupees and five thousand rupees to the cattle owners. He said that for augmenting the milk loss and to increase the consumption, the air-conditioned cans are being purchased at a cost of Rs 2.86 crore. Free freezer will be distributed to agency holders of its lava zonal dairies. Air-conditioned van is being purchased at a cost of Rs 1.87 crore for milk supply in remote areas. Said that when the cow is standing, If the ground or brick rub on the knees it becomes a wound on the leg. Therefore, to keep the cow healthy, the cattle will be given a mattress to lay down. Earlier, the milk development minister inspected the laboratory of zonal dairy.
