Revenue and Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput laid foundation stone of Jalandhar to Chowki Marg will be built at a cost of 13 crores.
50 years of struggle and dream came true with blessings of the residents, he said.
He said we have always struggled for the development of Surkhi assembly constituency and dreamed of doing the best.
Rajput told the villagers on the occasion of Bhoomi Pujan of Jalandhar to Chowki Marg, somewhere in the premises of Jwala Devi Temple, Rajput said that people of Jalandhar, Lachhanpura, Pipalkhedi, Sothia, Katighati, Jamundhana, Semrameda, Masania, Shikarpur and Chowki villages will now be able to reach Rahatgarh without any difficulty till now the people could reach Rahatgarh by taking a distance of about 100 kms. The road will be constructed with the cost of Rs. 13 crore.
On construction of this road route the people of 50 villages including Jaruakheda, Nanau, Luhra, Berkhedibhauti, Chandmau, Bamura, Barodiyavallabh, Rupau, Kaneraneekhar, Semralahiriya , Mudra, Toda, Semracharkhara, Gungudha, Vahrol, Manakchok will get benefit of the road. The people had trouble to go to the Janpad Block Office, Police station and Tehsil office in Rahatgarh now they can reach Rahatgarh within span of 20 minutes after construction of the road.
Revenue and Transport Minister Rajput said the sanction of road was possible due to various efforts made at every level in Sagar, Bhopal and Delhi, because most of land area required for the road construction belonged to the Forest Department, due to which it was appeared tough to get sanction for the road due to forest area, but with the blessings of all of the people of the area it was possible and to fight for the land.
It has been successful and this road has been approved for the people of this area, soon this road will be made, now no residents of the area will discontinue studies due to lack of road facility, will reach the hospital on time and all the villages will move forward in the path of development.
Revenue and Transport Minister Rajput organized a grand Bhandara on conclusion of the ongoing seven-day Bhagwat Katha at the Jwala Devi Temple premises in Jalandhar, in which more than 20000 villagers from about 50 villages participated in the function.
District Panchayat President Heera Singh Rajput said the Rajput family is always ready for the development of Surkhi assembly constituency, the BJP government has benefited every person, this road will bring prosperity in the villages falling on side of it in the Surkhi and Narayavali assembly constituencies.
On the occasion of foundation stone laid by the Revenue and Transport Minister of various development works including the road from village to Mata Mandir with cost of Rs. 2 crore and Mangal Bhavan worth 50 lakhs.
The foundation stone laying ceremony of Jalandhar to Chowki Marg, the residents of Surkhi and Narayawali areas gave grand welcome and thanked the Revenue and Transport Minister Rajput. The villagers praised the minister and said this road for betterment of the future of their children, development of the villages was possible due to the efforts of Revenue and Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput.
On this occasion, senior BJP leader and former Rahatgarh District President Gulab Singh Rajput, BJP leader Ram Kumar Yadav, BJP Mandal President Kamal Patel, Niranjan Singh, Rambabu Kurmi, Raju Patel, Desh Raj Yadav Jaggu, including Sarpanch, Janpad, District Panchayat members and hundreds of villagers were present.
