Renowned critic Dr. Nisha Tiwari has termed the literary works of Pankaj Swamy as a realistic stories.

While releasing the list of important story writers, ‘Parikatha’ has said that the story writers have written in a way that gives strength to the values of humanity and the literary works of the story writers is based on concern for society, reality and content.
The magazine has clearly said about such story writers that they have not made any effort to establish contacts and relations and stay away from self-promotion or self-advertisement.
The story writers did not worry much about their stories being discussed or not, they just wrote quietly and wrote important and meaningfully.
Parikatha has termed the works of Pankaj Swamy and other story writers as the achievement and wealth of this era.
