A traveler from Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur was killed and three co-travelers were harmed after a rock tumbled off a slope and hit their vehicle in the Ramban area on the Jammu-Srinagar public expressway.
SSP, traffic, public thruways, Shabir Malik said, “On Sunday, at around 2 pm, a Tempo Traveler (JK 21A/1503), en route to Jammu from Srinagar, was hit by a major rock at Cafeteria Morh in Ramban locale. The stone tumbled off a slope and hit the vehicle harming four vacationers.”
“One of them capitulated to his wounds at area emergency clinic, Ramban, while three others were alluded to Jammu for treatment,” he added.
The perished was recognized as Yashvardhan Thakur, 23, of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh.
Harmed were additionally recognized as Vivek Thakur, 25, Sanjay Thakur, 50, and Vanesh, 20, all from Jabalpur.
The SSP said that subject to fair climate and better street conditions, LMVs and private vehicles will be permitted from Srinagar and Jammu on Monday.
