Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed a public meeting at Laxmanbagh complex in Rewa, emphasizing the continuation of water conservation activities.
He highlighted that ancient water sources are being cleaned and renovated across the state under the “Jal-Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan.”
Cleanliness and conservation efforts worth Rs 3676 crore are ongoing in 212 rivers. Over 18 lakh people have participated in these activities through shramdaan.
Dr. Yadav assured that the welfare of bovines will not be neglected, announcing an increase in fodder funding for gaushalas from Rs 20 to Rs 40. Additionally, large cow sheds will be constructed in all assembly constituencies to shelter thousands of cows.
Chief Minister upon arriving in Rewa, worshiped Gaumata at the Laxmanbagh temple complex, fed the cows, cleaned the Bichhiya river ghat along with an ancient stepwell and planting a Parijat sapling as part of the Samvardhan Abhiyan.
He prayed for the state’s development and welfare at the temple.
In his address, Dr. Yadav praised Vindhya as a holy land where Lord Shri Ram spent 11 years of exile.
He described the Laxmanbagh temple complex as sacred, with a temple, school, cowshed, reservoir, river, and lush greenery, fulfilling all four ashrams of human life.
He noted the rejuvenation of the ancient stepwell under the Jal-Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, enhancing its beauty.
The Chief Minister highlighted the nation’s rapid development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
He announced a free air ambulance service for Ayushman cardholders, featuring doctors equipped with life-saving equipment on aircraft and helicopters.
Major religious sites like Chitrakoot, Ujjain, and Omkareshwar will be connected by helicopter, with initial routes linking Ujjain to Omkareshwar, Indore, and Bhopal.
Dr. Yadav noted Rewa’s swift development, emphasizing the creation of employment opportunities through mineral-based industries in the Vindhya region.
He announced the inauguration of an air taxi service for Rewa and Singrauli and the upcoming dedication of Rewa airport for large plane transportation.
Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla lauded the Chief Minister’s visit to the Laxmanbagh temple complex for water conservation efforts.
He noted that the Char Dham pilgrimage in Vindhya is considered complete with a visit to the Laxmanbagh temples.
For the past decade, the complex has served over 700 cattle and engaged in water conservation activities, with thousands of cattle also protected in the Basaman Mama Cow Sanctuary.
He emphasized the sacredness of cows in Hindu belief, highlighting their role in religious rituals. Shukla announced a forthcoming campaign to clean the Bichhiya River, with plans to treat drain water before releasing it into the river.
Additionally, two lakh saplings will be planted in the Rewa Municipal Corporation area to enhance greenery. Several ponds in Rewa, including Rathara, Kuber, Jhalabadri, Rani, and Chirhula, have been renovated and beautified.
MP Janardan Mishra said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has awakened the spirit of water conservation among the public through the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Campaign.
The Chief Minister has provided Rs 4 thousand crore to the irrigation projects of Rewa. With this, irrigation facilities will be available in about 9 lakh acres in the district.
Today, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has gifted the Vindhya region with the air taxi service.
As many as 980 works are being done in Rewa under the Jal-Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan. So far 533 new water conservation works have been approved.
Renovation work of 1030 farm ponds and 157 rivers and drains of the district is being done. 352 rain harvester systems are being made in various buildings. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Rewa will develop rapidly in every field.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav laid the foundation and inaugurated works worth Rs 70 crore 91 lakh. The Chief Minister performed Kanya Pujan.
The Chief Minister honoured the Jal Yodhhas for their excellent performance for water conservation.
