Daliganj, Lucknow: Four men of the right-wing group in saffron attires lashed two innocent Kashmiri men known to be local dry fruit vendors on Wednesday.
In Lucknow’s busy street, right in the middle of the day, four men allegedly known to be from the right-wing group, wearing saffron kurtas thrashed two innocent Kashmiri men at 5pm on Wednesday in central Lucknow’s Daliganj.
One man who had the courage to intervene stopped the right-wing extremists from continuing nuisance and unjust attack on innocent Kashmiris.
Jammu and Kashmir politicians Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti have condemned the assault. Omar Abdullah of the National Conference tweeted tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“These men just descended on us. They started beating us and calling us terrorists. We have been coming for 20 years. Something like this has never happened with us before,” one of the dry fruit sellers said.
The incident comes following February 14 Pulwama attack, the unfortunate incident took place in south Kashmir wherein around 40 CRPF soldiers were killed in a suicide bomb attack by Jaish-e-Mohammed, a terror-based outfit who finds its solace in Pakistani soil and it also took responsibility for the ghastly attack.
This is not the first disturbing episode that has took place against Kashmiris, the unjust in the country has bursted out ever since the Indo-Pak tension has raised following Pulwama attack.
