Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan has said that according to the election programme of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, finally 127 candidates are in fray after the process of withdrawal of nomination papers filed for the third phase.

On Monday, the last day of withdrawal of nominations, 14 candidates withdrew their nomination papers.

Rajan said that there are 15 candidates left in fray in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency number-1 Morena, 7 candidates in number-2 Bhind (SC), 19 candidates in number-3 Gwalior, 15 candidates in number-4 Guna, 13 candidates in number-5 Sagar, 13 candidates in number-18 Vidisha, 22 candidates in number-19 Bhopal, 15 candidates in number-20 Rajgarh and 8 candidates in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency number-29 Betul (ST).

The affidavits and other information of these candidates can be seen on Election Commission of India the website of link https://affidavit.eci.gov.in/. Voting for the third phase will take place on Tuesday, May 7.

Counting of votes will take place on June 4.

It may be noted that on April 22, 1 candidate has withdrawn his nomination papers in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency number-1 Morena, 1 candidate in number-2 Bhind (SC), 2 candidates in number-3 Gwalior, 2 candidates in number-4 Guna, 1 in number-5 Sagar, 3 candidates in number -18 Vidisha, 3 candidates in number 19 Bhopal and 1 candidate in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency no. 29 Betul (ST).

Meanwhile, Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan has said as per the election programme of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the process of filing nomination papers for the fourth phase is going on.

On Monday, the fourth day of nomination papers for the fourth phase, 12 candidates submitted 22 nomination papers. So far, 47 nomination papers have been filed by 28 candidates.

Chief Electoral Officer Rajan said that for the fourth phase, on the fourth day on April 22, 6 nomination papers were filed by 3 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 21 Dewas (SC), 4 nomination papers by 1 candidate in No. 22 Ujjain (SC), 4 nomination papers by 2 candidates in No. 23 Mandsaur, 2 nomination papers by 2 candidates in No. 24 Ratlam (ST), 4 nomination papers by 3 candidates in No. 26 Indore, 1 nomination paper was again filed by a previous candidate in No. 26 Khargone (ST) and 1 nomination paper was filed by 1 candidate in No. 28 Khandwa. No nomination papers were filed by any candidate in the remaining Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency no. 25 Dhar (ST) of the fourth phase.

Chief Electoral Officer Rajan said that the affidavits and other information of the candidates who have filed nomination papers can be seen on the link of the Election Commission of India website https://affidavit.eci.gov.in/.

He said that the last date for filing nomination papers is Thursday, April 25.

The nomination papers will be scrutinized the next day on Friday, April 26. Candidates who have filed the nomination papers will be able to withdraw their names till Monday, April 29. Voting for the fourth phase will take place on Monday, May 13. Counting of votes in all phases will take place on Tuesday, June 4.
