Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday spread out a 115-ft high tricolor in Timarpur voting demographic and said such high-pole public banners were introduced at 75 areas across the city to stamp 75th year of India’s Independence.
He said he will get it inspected if this fits the bill for a Guinness world record.

“It involves pride for the country that 75 tricolors on 115-ft high flagpoles have been introduced today in Delhi to check 75th year of our autonomy. The objective is to introduce absolute 500 in the following not many months,” he said at the function coordinated close to Delhi University grounds in Timarpur get together electorate.

“I have been informed that in no city, tricolors (public banners) on flagpoles of this stature have been introduced for an enormous scope. We will get it analyzed assuming it fits the bill for a Guinness world record, Kejriwal said.

These high-pole public banners are being set up at public spots like parks, enormous school structures, market buildings, private edifices, grounds, street traffic circles, among others.
A portion of the places where the 115 ft high tricolors have been introduced incorporate AIIMS indirect, close to Signature Bridge, Dhaula Kuan Enclave-2, Mall Road, Outer Ring Road, Pitampura, Delhi Cantonment, Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, close to the Azadpur Metro Station, among others.

Till August 15, 2021, the PWD had introduced high-pole public banners at five areas in the city, that is, at East Kidwai Nagar, Rani Bagh, Patparganj, Kalkaji and Dwarka.

The all out number of high-pole tricolors in the city is currently 80.

The main pastor said the point behind the move is that the public banner is noticeable to each resident a few times each day when they venture out for work.
“Numerous multiple times, we are up to speed in our regular routines to a degree that we fail to remember our nation and the general public. This tricolor will cause us to recollect regarding the people who forfeited everything for the autonomy of the country. This will impart a feeling of positive energy among individuals,” he said.
The establishment of high-pole public banners is being finished by the Public Works Department (PWD) under Delhi government’s ‘Deshbhakti Budget’ to observe India’s long term of Independence.

Under the venture, establishment of high-pole tricolors at 500 areas is to be finished.

Kejriwal said this large number of 500 banners were to be set up by this Republic Day, yet because of restriction on development exercises attributable to rising contamination and Covid pandemic, the undertaking was deferred.

“Remaining tricolors will be set up in next couple of months,” he said.

He said these tricolors will be raised such that those are apparent at each 2-3 kilometers.

In March last year, the Delhi government had reported its yearly spending plan themed on enthusiasm and named Deshbhakti spending plan under which ₹45 crore were saved to introduce high-pole tricolors at 500 areas across the public capital.
Later in September last year, the AAP government had expanded the spending plan and supported a measure of ₹104.37 crore for the task.
